Description
After a one mile hike up a partially developed trail, I was treated to this beautiful site. My original intent was to walk down to the lake, but the park rangers had closed it because of the grizzly bear sightings. This was the first time I had ever seen a mountain goat. Even more special, there was a very young kid grazing right next to her. I shot this with a 15mm lens so the goat is actually only about 3 feet in front of me. They are obviously used to being around humans because my presence didn't phase her one bit. It was completely overcast during my walk up to this spot, but just as the sun set, the clouds opened up and the beautiful rays of the sun lit up the sky. It was so calm and peaceful......definitely a special time.

Larry you really got a dramatic sky from this location. Your right, the Mountain goats are habituated to human traffic on the trek to Hidden lake. The Grizz pretty much take over by mid-July. The fishing season for them is over within weeks :)
